I just watched Chernobyl Diaries and, of course, I had to do a bit of internet research afterwards.
The movie was “OK” and is a good quick fix for anyone looking for 93 minutes of suspense, however, for anyone looking for the real Chernobyl Diaries they need not look far.
In the movie it’s hard to catch a good look at the creatures that are hunting the tour guide and his naive followers, but the photo above does a good job at remedying this. The best part … is that it’s real.
For years humans, animals, and local plant life have suffered a myriad of mutations after the meltdown.
Wow… That looks like a hamster I used to own.
wath’s is it ??? dog or pig …. is impossible
When you say it’s real, you don’t mean the mutations in the movie? Because, yes, there are mutatated offspring of the victims, but they are not monsters. That’s really what bothers me with this movie. Though, I do know that the movie makers are doing this so the viewers will want to watch it, it’s still wrong. For ignorant people who doesn’t have a clue about how history went down, they will actually believe that the people who didn’t make it out of Pripyat before they got effected by the radiation are now monsters who hunts humans/ turists for their flesh. But no, the real victims are at hospitals suffering. And also, my friend actually said that she didn’t want to enter anywhere near that place, because a part of her believes that there are some kind of mutated monsters living there. I just feel so sorry for the real victims who are not even able to talk or walk (some of them).
is it real??
Those people wanted to stay and be where they lived for most of their life. It’s terrible how others call the mutated animals monsters, they are just like us. They have been through the worst things than anybody had been through. Thousands of people have died, family members, friends, loved ones. People risked their lives trying to stop this incident. Most of the people died, and the survivors children would have cancer, disabilities. It’s so sad, because there will be those children to be bullied for how they looked. But what they really need to know is the history behind it. Chernobyl can never be used again and the family’s that used to live there can’t come back to look at what there town became of.
It is very sad indeed. Hopefully, we will learn from out mistakes.
